Ken Owen

After a short illness, faced with his usual quiet strength, the family announce with sadness that Ken Owen, of Bishop’s Cleeve, passed away peacefully at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on 8th July 2026, aged 85 years, surrounded by his loving family.
A dearly loved husband of Yvonne, a devoted father to Neil, Paul and Mark, and a much-loved grandad to ten wonderful grandchildren. Ken was a gentle, steady presence in all their lives and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Ken worked for many years at General Accident, and later at JL Fisher Ltd. He also served as secretary for Cleeve Colts Football Club and Ryeworth Cricket Club.
Ken’s funeral service will take place at Cheltenham Crematorium Oak Chapel on Wednesday 29 July at 11.00am.
Dress as you feel comfortable; formal mourning wear is not expected.
