Unattended Cremation

An Unattended Cremation, also known as a Direct Cremation, is a simple cremation where there are no mourners, family or friends present.

As there is no ceremony or service, it offers a more affordable type of funeral solution. Please be assured that with an Unattended Cremation, you will still receive the same caring and compassionate service from our team at Alexander Burn Funeral Directors.

Unattended Cremations

Unattended Cremations: £1,795

What’s included:

  • We will arrange for the deceased to be taken into our care (within Gloucestershire) and looked after in one of our funeral homes until the day of the cremation
  • The professional services of arranging the cremation, including administration of legal documents
  • A traditional light oak veneer coffin
  • Provision of the hearse and pallbearers
  • The cremation will always takes place at our local crematorium

What is not included:

  • It is not possible to choose what date or time the cremation will take place
  • No additional products or services can be added other than arranging the collection of ashes (if required)
  • No chapel of rest visits can take place
  • No mourners or minister can attend the cremation on the day

Please note: payment for an Unattended Cremation must be paid in full prior to the funeral taking place.
